Geo-radar
The word or term "radar" comes from "RAdio Detection And Ranging," a method used to pinpoint the location and speed of objects. Radar works by transmitting a signal and measuring the time it takes to reach the object in question and then bounce back.
Since the first use of electromagnetic waves in 1904 by Christian Hulsmeyer (1881 - 1957) to locate underground services until the present time, the improvements in electronic and computer technology give the Geo-radar GPR methodology a high resolution, with enormous potential still to be developed.
