Magnetic and electromagnetic surveys
Magnetic methods are often used to explore rapidly large areas at a low cost. The magnetometer measures deflections produced by the Earth’s own magnetic field. Electromagnetic methods measure deflections produced by the passage of a current generated by ourselves.
Method applications:
- Large vuggy area detection.
- Leak with metal deposits detection.
- Landfill demarcation.
- Pollution plumes detection.
- Metal objects detection.
- Geological structures detection.
- Archaeology.
Common tests:
- Cavity location through large area scanning.
- Mineral deposits assessment.
- Archaeological studies.
