Magnetic and electromagnetic surveys

Magnetic methods are often used to explore rapidly large areas at a low cost. The magnetometer measures deflections produced by the Earth’s own magnetic field. Electromagnetic methods measure deflections produced by the passage of a current generated by ourselves.

Method applications:
  • Large vuggy area detection.
  • Leak with metal deposits detection.
  • Landfill demarcation.
  • Pollution plumes detection.
  • Metal objects detection.
  • Geological structures detection.
  • Archaeology.
Common tests:
  • Cavity location through large area scanning.
  • Mineral deposits assessment.
  • Archaeological studies.
